If I were a detail oriented person I would be keeping a diary on everyone's ages!  Harry is 4 or so, these days.  We are Harry's 3rd home.  She was given as a gift to her second owner at a year of age, whose circumstances changed abruptly.  She came here at 2.5 years of age through a classified ad.  Harry is a small shy hen.  Who is very content on her own.  Harry does step up but is very nervous once there and somewhat uncoordinated as well.  Sometimes, while up Harry gets a little nippy when she would like to be returned home.  But she does LOVE being outside in the enclosure and will stay happily out there with a person nearby for hours.

Harry is a paper shredder.  As you can see she does like her wooden toys and gnaws on them...but paper is her all time favourite.  This year we had to take the paper away from her during the spring, as she got hormonal and cage protective.  That was very hard on her, nest building had her cooing and ripping for hours on end until I learned I should take it away.  She would be heartbroken every time I cleaned her cage.  Once the hormonal stage is over she was given it back.  During this time we also found her making "fake" lunges at everyone.  Fewer to myself but still a couple of times a day.

Harry's doors can be open for hours on end, but she will spend very little time outside of her cage.  A few minutes at a time and then she retreats for a while.  She will sit on her door but is rarely on the top of the cage.  She is the only bird that still has her ladders and perch on top.  Since she doesn't really use the area, I am not coping with domination issues with her.  MORE TO COME SOON.
